Mini‑Vinnies Celebrate the Feast of St Vincent de Paul
Mini‑Vinnies from St Joseph's Catholic Primary School in Broadstairs were delighted to be invited to a joyful afternoon of games, prayer and celebration to mark the birthday of St Vincent de Paul, the Saint after whom they are proudly named. The event was generously hosted by Ursuline College, Westgate, and brought together pupils from St John’s Secondary School, Gravesend, St Gregory’s Secondary School, Tunbridge Wells, and St Joseph’s, alongside members of the local St Vincent de Paul Society.
The afternoon was filled with fun and friendship as the children enjoyed activities such as People Bingo, Giant Jenga and a lively parachute game, as well as a wonderful selection of cakes and treats. Moments of reflection were also woven into the celebration through a short liturgy and shared prayers. One of the standout highlights was a special visit from Vinny Bear, whose energetic dance moves and playful antics brought lots of smiles and laughter, rounding off a truly memorable afternoon of faith, community and joy.
