The Mass, led by Canon Victor Darlington, provided a meaningful opportunity for both school communities to gather in prayer, reflection and thanksgiving as they embark on another year of learning and faith-filled service.

This year’s celebration was particularly significant as it was the first Welcome Mass held since the schools became parish schools, making it a memorable milestone in their shared journey. The occasion served as a powerful reminder that Catholic faith remains at the heart of school life, guiding pupils, staff and governors in their mission to serve others with love, compassion and hope.

The celebration brought together staff, governors, parishioners and family members, reflecting the strong partnership between school, parish and community. Their presence highlighted the importance of working together to nurture the academic, spiritual and personal development of every child.

Following the Mass, guests enjoyed refreshments generously provided by the Union of Catholic Mothers, creating a warm atmosphere of fellowship and celebration and offering an opportunity for members of both school communities to connect and share in the joy of the occasion.

As the new academic year begins, both schools look forward to continuing their shared mission, united in faith and inspired by a commitment to helping every child flourish and fulfil their God-given potential.
